didn't Jim Buss say he would step down if the Lakers weren't back
in the western finals in ?? years ????

looks like that's a long ways away..... especially considering the
talent on the top teams.....

:facepalm

He currently couldn't be farther from his goal of being in contention...

It will be interesting to see if the pressure ramps up for him to step down if the team doesn't show signs of life.

It's starting to look like there could be some major moves made. They were talking about Jeanie firing him and Mitch on ESPN today.

I'm not so sure Mitch needs to go unless you have someone better ready to replace him, but Jim, yeah he needs to be "reassigned" since you cant really fire an owner lol.

Maybe she fires Mitch, marries Phil, and then hires Phil. We can always dream!

Yeah, I think it would be to bring in Phil, since he would want a front office role rather than being a coach. Mitch has proven he can get it done though. He just needs someone else there around him.

I don't know about firing Mitch, he has proven himself a lot of times in the past, just want to wait & see where he goes from here with this roster.

Who gets the credit for drafting Kristaps? Phil?

I think Mitch has been a pawn of the Buss family in a bad way. He does not appear to have much authority under Jim Buss.

I remember him trying to "sell" us on D'Antoni, and you could tell he did not belive what he was saying.

If PJax were to come back, he would clean house though.... he wants full control.

Yup, I agree.
