Nobody ever talks about them. I still haven't seen them play yet this season.

Honestly surprised me when I checked last night and they were 8-2. I dunno why but I thought they were around .500

Spurs live on

Yea they're crushing it. Meanwhile the clippers are barely 6-4 and clawing their way through close games for wins.

LMA hasnt been putting up big numbers but hes fit in with the system so well. Theyll def be in the WCF

Also Manu returned to 2014 form so far been lookin like a 6th man of the year candidate. He takes their offense to another level

easy as fk schedule

they lost to the thunder and the wizards

heres who they have beaten

nets
blazers (x2)
knicks
celtics
kings
hornets
sixers
nuggets

its a perfect start for them so the lineup can gel before they start facing real comp... but worth bearing in mind the combined record of those teams is well below .500

Spurs live on  They lost a couple early on. But they must be on at least a 7 game streak. LOL I wish Warriors were under the radar like this :oldlol:

Just checked

The spurs are 9-2 beating opponents by an average of 14.2 ppg
(Their only losses were to the Thunder by 6pts and the Wizards by 3pts)

The Warriors are 12-0 beating opponents by an average of 15.3 ppg
(Beat the grizzlies by 50)

Warriors are the #1 offense and the #4 defense
Spurs are the #6 offense and the #1 defense

A bit early but I can't wait to see these two teams in the playoffs

Ultimately when they get to the playoffs it'll just be a matter of whether their shots are falling at the time or not. We all know them and the Mavericks will be playing the smartest basketball. It'll just be a question of shots falling or not.

Not hating on the Spurs at all, but part of their defensive ranking is the teams they have played. Jazz had by far the best defense in the league until they played the Cavs, Heat, and Hawks on the road.

I only watched them play the C's a few Sundays ago and they looked as good as ever, even though the C's put on a late run and made the game damn close.

Butter soft schedule, still trying to work out the Aldridge fit, and the same conference as a Dynasty, but I like what I've seen.

Leonard has clearly taken the jump. Manu is sticking true to his 'one year on, one year off' policy. Parker isn't a complete liability and the defense is really clicking.

I could see 60 wins.

Doesn't really matter who they played...They were handled by all the decent to good NBA teams in 2014, and cruised to a title...

Agreed. If they face off in the WCF, it may turn out to be a great series. Probably 6-7 games.

Also LMA is still adjusting. I remember watching a few of his first few games. He's still learning the system. Spurs reloaded quite well this year.

There were some defensive sequences yesterday against the Nuggets where Duncan and Aldridge clogged the paint so well.

Really loving that combo... vs. say the Duncan + Splitter, Duncan + Blair, Duncan + Bonner combos of the recent past (tbf to Splitter he was a good defender but just not the player LMA is)

Duncan with 6 blocks :applause:

It only took 25/9 for you admit that to be possible?

No I'm talking his play this season. He's still one of the worst defenders out there, but with Kawhi's emergence on offense we can scheme enough to hide Tony and not expect to lose that much on O.

I don't think anyone can deny that he was horrific last year. One of the worst rotation players in the league during the Regular Season and a colossal negative against the Clippers. If we played Patty and/or CoJo 10 more minutes in the series we'd have won.

They're one of 2 teams that have a chance against GS.

For those who haven't watched the games:

-Kawhi's the centerpiece of the offense, more and more aggressive.
-Duncan is the same Duncan we've seen the past few years.
-Parker has accepted a reduced role, but shows he can still lead the team when needed (25/9 on 64% shooting last night).
-Ginobili looks really good so far. Great playmaking & looks spry.
-Aldridge is hitting his jumper, getting boards, & playing defense. Not as efficient as we would all hope, but not bad. It's weird to see him averaging so much less than in Portland, but playing his role well.
-Green is really the only Spur not playing well. He just doesn't have his shot so far this season, but it will come.

If Kawhi wouldn't have taken a vacation the last 3 games we would have won also. There are lots of "if only's" in basketball. Parker dropped 20 in G7 when almost everyone else got scared and froze up.

Yeah they're struggling to find an identity on offense as a team. There's some transitioning to try and get LMA in and get Kawhi to be the focal point. That said defensively they look great. Should be real exciting once all the pieces fall in offensively.

This team is really interesting to watch. The competition has been poor to date. It will be very interesting to see how they do once they get a few more tough road tests. I"m also interested in how Pop manages certain players minutes.

All that said the defense is better than many were expecting. It seems aldridge isn't a terrible defender...I have no idea who started that rumor he would be.
