Cavs gonna take revenge tonight!

Naero

As much as my rooting interest wants my Bucks to reprise the upset, my intellectuality suggests that this game has the Cavaliers written all over it. The Wine and Gold is well-rested, ready to be energized by its home crowd, and they likely will respond commandingly after LeBron's reproachful remarks.

I just hope that the Bucks do not choke another comfortable lead if they take the stranglehold on it down the stretch; that nearly materialized in the last match-up and would have cost me a night of much-needed sleep. :banghead:

I never realized how bad Greg Monroe is on defense. :facepalm This is Carlos Boozer-level inertia, and it's reciprocally creating a net-negative impact despite his offensive contributions.

Hopefully with Cleveland's short-handed lineup, the current pace of the game will be exhaustive enough for them to decelerate, but the Bucks' decision-making isn't encouraging right now when it pertains to them capitalizing off of it.

I already had the Cavaliers written on as the pre-game favorite, but I thought many of those predictory factors could be offset by Mo Williams' sidelining this game.

I really was predictive of this Bucks team vaulting themselves in a 4- to 6th-seeded berth in the playoffs picture this season, but the defensive identity that plunged them into the playoffs last year has been non-existent this game and against the Wizards in the previous game.

Game over. This is the end-game result we've foreknowingly predicted from the outset anyhow, but I didn't realize it'd be expedited this soon.

No way are my Bucks surmounting this; it's sad to say. They lack the three-point-shooting, pace, and their defensive identity from last season to spark such a run.

Win or lose, I'm proud of my Bucks. :applause: Didn't know they'd respond to Jason Kidd at half-time for this second-half run, but it's one of the many instances in which my defeatistic attitude relishes being disproven.

LeBron is actually having a jumpshot-efficient game, however, so unless he burns out in the fourth quarter as he did against Detroit, I don't expect the deer to find the finish line tonight.

With all the ticky-fac fouls called at the disfavor of the Bucks earlier, you'd think the officials would adjust and rectify their mistakes down the stretch; instead, they went through with calling that bullshit sixth foul on him. :facepalm

Still not going to attribute the primary blame to the referees, however. Yes, they've killed the Bucks' second-half momentum with these contact-sensitive fouls, but the Bucks would have been in a great position to overcome it had they not stagnated on both ends in the first half. It's just lamentable that we couldn't see these two teams boil down to crunch time for a second-consecutive match-up to make it interesting.

I said on a different board elsewhere that by the end of the season Jabari would be our best player. From what I've seen, I think that's still entirely realistic.

The problem with Giannis (and it's not really his fault) is that our guards are absolute morons. He could be more of a dick in terms of demanding the ball, but he's too much of a team player to do that. It's like the guards are told by the coaching staff, whenever Giannis makes 2 shots in a row, to freeze him out immediately after. That has happened time and time and again and for a player like Giannis who thrives on high energy play and involvement, it totally throws him off his rhythm. If we give him the damn ball consistently there's little doubt in my mind he could average 20 a night. But he is used pretty much as a super hustle player in our garbage offense.

Like I don't understand how you don't go to him every possession on offense this game. With the way he was scoring, you go to him every time. Our team just makes it so difficult to get him the ball.

If we give him the damn ball consistently there's little doubt in my mind he could average 20 a night. But he is used pretty much as a super hustle player in our garbage offense.

Like I don't understand how you don't go to him every possession on offense this game. With the way he was scoring, you go to him every time. Our team just makes it so difficult to get him the ball.I can actually see a healthy Jabari becoming the #1 option by year's end on this team. I still think Giannis will be better than him this year and long term based on his defensive versatility. Then again, if Jabari just defends PFs all year, it'll help compensate his lack of defensive quickness.

Giannis is passive by default, but he just seems more engaged. I thought it was easy for him to disappear for long stretches last year, but maybe I've happened to catch him on good nights this season.

I hate to bring it up, but you guys should have done Thomas/Ennis/Plums/LAL pick for Knight/LAC pick. That LAL pick could have been great trade bait (unlikely something major would have happened), but there's a real chance that pick becomes Jamal Murray this upcoming draft. Plus, Thomas >>>> MCW. Dude maybe can turn it around but I've been bearish on his potential on offense for a while now.

Bron is playing some quality defense this season.
