To be honest every superstar in history (at least since the late 80's) has relied on refs. The league has always protected its stars. The rare exception that I have seen has been Duncan. Maybe because aside from 2007 I've never really seen the league try to push him as its face. I might add Shaq in there but with him it always seemed more like they didn't know how to officiate his play.

I am a Big Time Pacers fan and I am also a fan of the Cavaliers as well. It's hard for me to understand this.
