Curry is a better defender this season than Kobe was that year as well, Kobe didn't exert himself on the defensive end.

So yes, unless Curry drops off significantly this season, his efficiency and consistent effort on the defensive end puts him above any season from Kobe.

But there's a long way to go yet.

The real trick is slowing the game down combined with making Curry have to work on defense.

Most teams simply can't even begin to try these things...especially in the regular season.

It's gonna be until the playoffs until we see a team capable of doing much to actually slow him down....unless of course he just cools off on his own.

Well to me Curry's 2015 season was slightly worse than peak Kobe. This year he is on pace to pass Kobe's peak, but i'm not willing to declare that after just 14 games. Anything can happen, he can cool off for significant stretches of games, he can get injured, or he can have a playoff run below his usual standards. Who knows. Need to see his whole season.
