At what age did your parents start leaving you home alone?

My son (11 years old) is currently coming home by himself and waiting for me to come home. He's left alone at most an hour and a half. He says he's ready to be left for a couple hours at night. I feel he's mature enough. Obviously I wouldn't post it on social media just for his safety, but he is able to handle himself when he comes home from school. I'm sure if me and mom want to go out for an hour or two he'd follow the same patterns.

Well, i had after school childminders from like 5-10, then was on my own from that point on. Travelled to school alone on public transport from about the age of 8.

Nothing wrong with teaching kids to be responsible for themselves from an early age - just don't leave them alone for a week or anything, ha.

Even at a young age honestly happy staying alone for days without seeing parents friends or anyone. Just have food in the fridge and I'm fine.
