Normally I would be skeptical of stories like this.

HOWEVER, I can attest to the fact that these kinds of names are actually common vietnamese names, and in fact I took this picture of a vietnamese nail shop in Houston about a year ago:

So the story is probably legit. Some Viet names are very homophonetic to some of our more controversial english words.

if he emigrated from vietnam to australia then obviously it would be foolish to question or critique his name in any way.

if he was born in oz, then his parents almost certainly didn't understand english very well nor understand american gangsta culture and stuff.

if i was him and planned to stay in oz, i'd legally change the spelling of his name to how it sounds phonetically... fook daet bik. solves not just the facebook problem but any future problems as well.
