Mudiay actually went toe to toe with Steph. Both inefficient and just decent.

I can't even count that as a good ankle breaker and i'm very objective. what happened in that gif was Curry got screened and his right leg was trapped behind the screener's left foot, instictively Curry steps through the screen because he was losing balance and not doing so would result in him falling.

Mudiay could have pulled out the Bob Cousy handle and still blew by him at that point.

Curry tripped on dude's foot.....Right on. Of all the things to call an ankle breaker, Bleacher Report is rolling with a play where the defender was being tangled up by a screener in the process.

I'm usually pretty open to ankle breakers even if a defender tripped on the ball handler's foot or something (like Jennings and Curry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOXtDQBwvyU) but even then it's a little iffy. Add in a screener making contact throughout and I do not find the play itself to be noteworthy.
