:kobe:

Even this year despite getting very few touches offensively he is averaging 14 / 14 / 2-apg / 2-bpg on 63%TS and has had some huge games.

Really?
Dude is averaging 14 / 14 / 2 / 2-bpg on 63%TS

He has had games of...
23 / 14 on 10-10 shooting
20 / 20 / 3 on 8-10 shooting
7 / 19 / 3-blk

Dude is still clearly one of the best C's in the league with a ton of value.

I wonder where we can trade DH12?

Cousins, Collison for Howard, jones, Lawson and picks.

We should do a Dwight for Anthony Davis + fillers while his (Davis) stock is down.

Dwight to Boston
Cousins to Houston
Lee/Olynyk/Dekker/future picks from (both Houston and Boston) to Sacramento

Howard for Andre Drummond.

i'm okay with Noah+McDermott/Portis trade

Howard for Cousins
Howard for Noah+fillers

I don't even know where to start with these. :hammerhead:

Lebron and Dwight would be the best duo in the league in terms of ability but the problem is they're both shitty FT shooters and their personalities don't mesh.

The Cavs would literally be unbeatable with a lineup of Kyrie JR LeBron Love Howard... if Dwight could accept a Tristan Thompson type role as a starter but he hasn't shown in his entire career that he's willing to do that. The problem is Dwight thinks he's an offensive stud. He certainly has had his moments and games over the years, but he has been incredibly inconsistent on the offensive side to say the least.

He also needs to play with an elite passer to reach his optimum overall performance and LeBron could be that guy.

The Cavs would be the best fit if someone could get him to actually, truly buy into the Tristan Thompson mentality but I doubt that'll ever happen anywhere much less playing next to LeBron who would steal ALL of Dwight's media attention. Hell that happened with old Kobe and harden. Imagine how bad it would be with Bron lol.

No they wouldn't.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Knicks, Cavs, and Celtics would trade for him cause Dwight is really valuable.

The Knicks may do it just cause they're dumb enough to think Howard > Lopez + Affalo and not take into account how favorable there contracts are under the new expected salary cap and they'd be enamored by the potential star big 3 of Melo/Howard/Porzingis.

The Cavs may do it cause Lebron will push them to, they wouldn't be giving up too much, and Howard is an expirer. Oh, and cause Lebron ALWAYS needs more help. :oldlol:

The Celtics would do it cause they'd be trading expirers for another expirer and they might as well take the chance that they can make a leap this year and if Howard can make a resurgence that would make him worth a long-term deal.

The Rockets may do these deals cause there isn't much of a market for Howard and if there really is a problem in the locker room.

Didn't say the Brooklyn pick necessarily. But honestly, I would consider it if he didn't only have 1 year left. Draft is a crapshoot. They're not guaranteed a high pick, and their high pick isn't guaranteed to be an impact player.

Lebron played extremely well in that series which had multiple very close games and went 7 games.

Dwight was a huge part of why the Magic won that series.
He averaged 26 / 13 / 3 on 69%TS
He also dropped 40 / 14 / 4-ast on 71%TS in G7 and absolutely dominated Lebron who performed poorly in that game (was his worst game in that series).

Dwight Howard may have been their best player but he hardly "carried" that Magic team that went to the Finals. Rashard Lewis was an All Star that season and lead scoring quite a bit (lead scoring against the Celtics in the 2nd round for instance), Hedo Turkoglu was coming off an MIP season and was a good point-forward at the time, and they had Pietrus, Alston, Nelson, Lee, Redick, and Gortat. Relatively deep team that shot a ton of three's. Magic even won a playoff game in the first round without Dwight playing altogether

Carried a roleplayer Magic team to the Finals and beat absolute Peak Lebron in the process.

Shitty source and why can't people acknowledge how good Dwight was? Just because he's a douchebag doesn't mean you can retroactively say his always been a shit player. Hell he's still one of the better bigs in the league today and he's like a quarter of what he used to be if that.

He carried us but not during that season. The team was built really well for him, yes some of the guys he had wouldn't be great on other teams but they fit in perfectly with Dwight. After we lost Hedo and Lewis turned to shit is when Dwight was carrying us to the play offs but not to the finals.

Yeah he did.
C'mon.

Lewis was mainly a 3pt shooter.
A good one but he wasn't great at creating his own offense especially downlow and he was hardly a fantastic 2nd option for a contender.
He wasn't a legit All-Star caliber player.
Pretty one dimensional offensively and not a good defender either.

Hedo was a nice elite roleplayer.
Pietrus was a good roleplayer.

Jameer was actually their 2nd best player and he had an excellent/impressive year but he got injured and was unavaliable in the playoffs.

The rest of the guys were pretty crappy.
They were hardly deep and their bench outside of Pietrus was pretty damn unproductive & inefficient.

The 2009 Magic were one of the weakest Finalists in recent memory especially once Jameer went down.
Dwight was pretty dominant that year and his two way impact is what carried them.

Lewis was mainly a 3pt shooter.
A good one but he wasn't great at creating his own offense and he was hardly a fantastic 2nd option for a contender and not a true All-Star caliber player either.
Very one dimensional offensively and not a good defender either.

Captain clutch Hedo Turkoglu carried that team to the finals that year.

Anyone who thinks Jax is even slightly interested in a fool like Howard needs their head examined. NY finally cleaning the stench out - and you want J.R.Smith on roids? SMMFH. :facepalm

Keep that dumbass away from the Garden. Let the Nets or Bronzy have him.

Yeah Hedo was pretty good.
Swiss army Diaw type roleplayer.
Helped provide that team with some extra ball-handling and playmaking that was needed.
He averaged 15 / 5 / 5 on 53%TS pre-Finals.
Was their 3rd best player after Dwight & Lewis.

Dwight averaged 22 / 15.4 / 1.8 / 2.2-bpg on 65%TS pre-Finals.

Could see the following:

Knicks for Lopez + Affalo
Cavs for Varejao + Shumpert
Celtics for Lee + Turner

Picks included if needed.
The Cavs are not an option unless Dwight develops an outside shot :oldlol: Knicks are doing better than expected right now so why rock the boat? Not sure if the C's would want Dwight since he is a coach killer.

Dude.. Howard averaged 15 ppg in the Finals and got put in place by friggin Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol... not exactly HOF defenders or anything.

Not to mention the Magic went through a Celtics team with no Kevin Garnett (not their fault, but lets keep it in mind). Howard's best series came up against old man Ilguaskas

You saying Lewis wasn't a "legitimate All Star player" doesn't change the fact that he was indeed an All Star player.

Howard was efficient around the basket (alley oops and put-backs galore) but he wasn't even taking the most shots in the playoffs on average and since his ORL days he hasn't exactly grown as a scorer... if anything he plateaued a few seasons back

09 Playoffs:

Lewis: 19 ppg / 14.5 fga per game

Turk: 16 ppg / 12.3 fga per game

Alston: 12 ppg / 12.1 fga per game

Howard: 20 ppg / 11.7 fga per game

True and I thought his performance in that series was quite dissappointing.

Howard's best series came up against old man Ilguaskas
I still don't think we should discount his amazing play in that series.
Big Z wasn't a bad player or a bad defender.
Plus he did badly outplay Peak Lebron in the G7... not an unimpressive feat.

You saying Lewis wasn't a "legitimate All Star player" doesn't change the fact that he was indeed an All Star player.

"All-Star" for me is about reaching a certain level. A level I don't think Lewis was at.
Just making the All-Star game doesn't mean a guy is an "All-Star caliber player" etc...
Plenty of guys who weren't even remotely close to All-Star caliber have made and performed in the ASG.

since his ORL days he hasn't exactly grown as a scorer...

True but his offensive game looked pretty decent back in those days.
Maybe the system helped but he was much better then he has been recently.

Lewis: 19 ppg / 14.5 fga per game
Howard: 20 ppg / 11.7 fga per game

This doesn't account for FT's
When you factor in fouls drawn Dwight is basically tied with Lewis for most shot-attempts per game on the team.
