people do not realize how difficult of an injury achilles tear is to come back from, there are guys literally hospitalized or forever confined to wheelchairs from the same injury. The mere fact taht Kobe is out there balling in spite of the torn achilles needs to be applauded.

He definitely should retire in mid season. He is a dead corpse right now, It's really sad to watch him at this point.

The fact that Kobe continues to exist should be cherished by all.

Didn't Shaun Livingston's knee explode, and he somehow came back and is a better player than Kobe currently? That is crazy.

If I was Kobe I'd still be playing too even if all I'm doing is embarrassing myself...who the hell would want to be home all the time with that gold digger, Vanessa? Listening to her run her mouth all day...shudder. I feel for you, Kobe.

From Wikipedia:

Livingston was told by a medical professional at the hospital that there was a chance that his leg would have to be amputated. He required months of rehabilitation to be able to walk again.[9]

From Wikipedia:

Hypothetical one legged Livingston vs current Kobe would be close too.

Time is moving too fast. I remember when Kobe was injured, the constant Kobe threads from extremely pumped up stans, bragging about how Kobe is so alpha, that through sheer will he's months ahead of schedule and is going to heal faster than any human ever. Now this whole ordeal of a season is happening, and the tone is so different.

I remember when the achilles tear first happened, and these morons were claiming his game wouldn't suffer at all since he never relied on athleticism anyway.

I really did not expect kobe to be so bad at this point in the season.

I guess this is it for him.

Hopefully, Duncan will keep going for a few more seasons.

I'm not. One misinformed poster says something and the rest have no clue how to put in in proper context to see the big picture.
