He had a career ending injury 2 years ago and he still have tha guts to play. He stayed on one team for 20 seasons while some supposed best player switch twice within 13 seasons. Just give him a much needed pass and always remember that 5/7 is better than 2*/6.

and how is it some massive noble sacrifice when he's the highest paid player in the league? (not sure if gilbert arenas counts) Way better players than Kobe in his mid 30s have taken a paycut for their team. He wanted to cash in one last time.

Good on him to get paid and rewarded by the lakers...but ffs, there's no need to cry about him being an absolute scub now, unless you're actually a laker fan. And even then you can probably question Jim Buss and management first.
