I'm almost as faithless with Byron Scott as I am with Kobe, but I at least know that one's tenure with the team will be off the books this upcoming summer. Scott, on the other hand, won't be terminated until he provenly underachieves with some modicum of championship-contention talent; once they have that assemblage of ripe talent, however, it'll only be a formality for him to prove that he's ill-suited as the coach.

I don't know who is more delusional...Kobe or Byron Scott. :biggums: I'm starting to thing the higher ups are just telling him to say this stuff and that next season after kobe is gone they'll actually give him a fair chance to see what he can do with these young guys. When you have loyal laker fans wanting you to retire or take a limited role...you are done. Either have some respect for your teammates and teams future and take a limited mentorship role...or retire with some dignity. When were half way into the season will they still both be making excuses for him when he's still shooting 35% or under? He just had his two worst shooting games of the season...IT IS NOT GETTING BETTER. lol
