I'm not going to click this, but living in LA I've heard of this before. There's this fatalistic notion among some gay men that contracting HIV is inevitable so they might as well get it over with. In fact, I've read stories where guys who don't want to date other men with HIV actually get shamed by other gay men, since it's possible to live a relatively healthy life with HIV now. It's really one of those things that I don't even bring up with my gay friends, since the idea of this disease being "no big deal" is repulsive to me.
