I would do that 2nd trade but there's no way the Lakers send Clarkson and Nance :lol

1st trade hell no, no more trading 1st round picks.

That's crazy to think you'd say 1 pick be too much for clarkson and nance jr. And to clear Calderon off the books.

Lakers will get the promise from the nba of another top3 pick.

How many fcking times does this guy have to say he's staying and retiring in LA?

Knicks are shit and have a future injury prone bust. Kobe would waste his time there and hes doing that here already

Nah, he'd play pg for Phil and fisher. Shoot wide open jump shots from the Ron Harper spots while getting passes from Carmelo and porzingis

Kobe would comfortably play 3rd scorer 4th scorer type. He isn't going to play facilitator on the lakers because he doesn't see anybody he should pass too.

Obviously laker wouldn't give up clarkson and nance in a trade but a lot makes sense for Kobe to the Knicks if he did feel like a new challenge

I hope to god Kobe retires before he goes anywheres

clarkson is gonna demand a 5 year 92 million dollar contract this offseason, he's restricted so the lakers can match but no way he's worth it. they should sell high

Kobe just doesn't want to admit he's not the first option anymore. That, or second. He doesn't want to settle not being the main guy. I mean, look at pierce and lebron. They settled not being that guy to go to different teams. Kobe, he's just not that guy. He's had enough rings to settle and pack his bags up and retire where he started and had it all going for him.

He's already called Jackson out, saying he's not going anywhere. He's stated it several times he's not going anywhere. He has too much pride and I don't blame him, but this is it for him. He's done. There's only so much the lakers organization can do.

If the Lakers can get rid of Kobe and get some young guys and picks in return then I say they do it. Kobe makes NY worse of course but it's all good.

Agreed. I don't see how Kobe, who is going to retire imminently, can improve this team. You'll have two chuckers out there in Kobe and Melo taking bad jumpshots.

At this point, Kwame Brown would help the Lakers out more than Kolby.
