For those interested, ESPN.com's Tom Haberstroh did the math -- at Bryant's shooting rate this season, he'd need to shoot 97 times to reach 80 points.

Well obviously he's not going to score 20+ points often when he's in a shooting slump.

Isn't a slump something you get yourself out of? Kobe has been there for 3 years and NOTHING indicates he's getting out of it, on the contrary.

Kobe's been in a shooting slump since entering the NBA.

Career 45% FG and 33% 3pt shooter.

If we are lucky, he stunts the progression of the young guys in LA for a few more years. They have some nice young pieces and could be relevant again in a few years if he retires, but their fan base is just so annoying it more fun when they are losing.

It might have the opposite effect. Playing with Kobe is probably like training in a pool. You've got all that resistance against your momentum, that when it's finally taken away you just zoom ahead. These guys will never ever play again with a chucker half as cancerous as kobe. If they're learning to work around a guy who is as incomprehensible of a liability as he is, imagine how well they'll be able to play with even just average players once he's gone.

So what? His TS% is similar to Michael's, and higher than duncan's.
