But on a more serious note, you could do this for any player who has suffered a career changing/ending injury. I could do this for Elton Brand if I wanted to, but as my life does not revolve around him like yours does Kobe, I'm not.

Sold his soul to the devil to get that procedure done in Germany. Suddenly looked 4 years younger and began moving like it was 2009 again.

For the first one...I don't even understand why a rookie Kobe is even bringing the ball up in that situation...Nick or Eddie Jones should have had the ball.

Really weird season. He had a few highlight reel dunks in that stretch and was moving like he was 25
What game was it where he hit 3 3 pointers in the final minute to win the game. That was epic

That's why PED's are illegal in the NBA. Kobe's illegal doping brought his game back to life..... but led to his body breaking down and what his game is today.

That's why I said "brought his skills back to life"
look at his game before and after the multiple trips to Germany....then the injuries that piled up shortly after.

Theyre both officially sanctioned and acceptable ways of making one's point.

Bro, this wasn't even last season. This was 2013. Last season, he tore his right rotator cuff.

Last year Kobe played nothing like he did in 2013, but dude still wasn't as bad as he is now. The torn rotator cuff has definitely been a huge hindrance to his overall play.

I think it's the knee fracture combined with the Achilles, Kobe has no lift on his jumper anymore, when he used to be able to raise up over multiple defenders. Factor into this literally not being able to get to his sweet spots and you have basically taken away Kobe's greatest strength from his game. Footwork.

Why do some Kobe fans constantly lie and revise history?
Kobe averaged 28.2 / 6.0 / 7.2-apg on 58%TS over the last 25 games he played in that year.
oh the horror

Really that should have been it when he tore the Achilles. Too late into his career to put together a legitimate comeback.

You could make an argument that 2013 was one of the best offensive seasons in his career. His 17th season. There are maybe only 5 or so other seasons from him that were unquestionably better on OFFENSE.

Yeah I would like to believe that also.
His stats were great and the Laker offense was ranked 9th which is pretty good.
On the other hand in the 2nd half of that season when Dwight was playing well and Kobe was on that hot streak they still had a very poor margin of victory and were struggling to knock off some weak teams.
So I question the idea that Kobe was still having his Prime level impact even just on offense because I can't imagine Prime Kobe with a good performing Dwight struggling to knock off those crappy teams.

can you remind me what was the Laker's record during that same time?
