Just using and abusing players for assets
Gets players so agitated that they have to knock niggasout because they got called out for being on such a sucky team. Thats bad. Youre players resort to this.

They don't realize that fostering a winning culture among the team now will put them in a better position to succeed in the future than aimedly stockpiling talent from the draft. They need more than just young talent; they'll need to allure ripe free-agent signees to complement them as well, and I'm not sure how many prime-age players would want to invest their best days on a tanking-mode franchise.

Philly is a POS city.... it's a place people live if they cannot afford NY. The biggest thing to come from there is their food which is actual crap if you have it authentic. They take pride in rocky, as if it was an actual person.

Weather there sucks as does everything else because no one has a sense of pride because theyre only there because its affordable.

Lakers have a winning culture and are decent at developing the talent they have. Clarkson is just the latest would-be projection nobody. No comparison, you are bad at this. Quit life my dude.

You've got to feel bad for any player that goes there, they probably feel like they've been sentenced to NBA purgatory

Developing players = letting them watch Kobe take 25 dumb shots a game with a coach who is fine with it. Alright.

It's all good, don't be mad. Just know that past performance is no guarantee of future results. For now, you're stuck with the corpse of Kobe, Byron Scott and Jim Buss. Good luck! Such a great, great foundation for a franchise. The W's are right around the corner, only a matter of time now.

This organization has a long track record of developing players they keep. But yeah lets use 1 season to make my case sound. :applause:

Losing has a smell, a funk which hangs in the stands, the uniforms, the whole culture eventually becomes infected. True winners don't want to lose or watch losing or be part of losing.

Losing lowers testosterone: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9811365

Losing is bad, losing on purpose to win later? I am not convinced.

Kyrie nor Anthony Bennett got into off court troubles when the Cavs had the leagues worst winning % from 2011 to 2014.

Do we really need to post Joakim Noah's assessment of Cleveland? No one likes Cleveland man, people stay in their hotels, it's depressing.

3 seasons, tons of injuries and the league handing them multiple number 1 picks. Plus you could see they draft well. (Except for bennett, massive wtf)

The Sixers on the other hand have been tanking for like 5 years. Already gave up on mcw, embiid isn't looking like he'll play, Noel is a bit average, okafor does not want to be there and unless they MASSIVELY overpay, no vets are headed there anytime soon.
It's looking more and more like a L for the 76ers future..

L is also for Lakers, quite right were fu*ked with jimmy boy and byron:lol

All the sixers fans seem totally happy about this plan. Hinkie brainwash.

Anyone remember a few years when raps fans were making taking memes and talking about Tank for Wiggins... they really intentionally tanked only one year, and they've been a playoff team for the last two right now in 5th seed in the East. The Knicks and Minny tanked for a year and both are in the hunt to make playoffs right now.

Philly has been a terrible team for the last 3 years... and is getting worse. The Sixers just tied an NBA record for most consecutive losses (26 since their most recent W last season). How a fan can defend this? I'll never get it.

They actually tanked for 2 straight years (got Valanciunas and Ross out of it) with the option of tanking for 13/14 if they traded Lowry to New York.

Being a playoff team doesn't mean much until you start winning a lot of games and getting to the main show. It's clear the Raptors want to win now, but I don't think they've got the overall talent to go far yet. I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt vs anyone in the playoffs either.

Sixers have not been tanking for 5 years and are only in year 3 of their rebuild. It doesn't help when last years #3 pick hasn't seen the floor but their rebuild gets more hate than it deserves. People are quick to forget that prior to the rebuild they were irrelevant for a decade.

Why does Philly get so much hate when they haven't even had the worst record ? They usually finish bottom 3-4, not last place. Many of you act like they've had the worst record in the NBA the past few seasons or something when that's not the case...

I will withhold judgement until we know what will happen with Embiid. He is the key to the whole thing.

yeah. if anything they haven't tanked hard enough

Tanking should at most be a 2-3 year process. If you are still total crap afterwards it likely means you suck at drafting and might try a different strategy. So far their plan has resulted in

1) One guy developing a bad eating habit, while rehabbing a full body injury.

2) One guy sitting in Europe wondering how to get to the NBA without having to play for Philly.

Funny that he had a guarantee from the Mavs the year before and withdrew due to playing time concerns. Life is a biatch. :lol

3) One guy who fights with fans out of frustration.

4) One guy who is a center and now plays PF, while shooting 35%.

They can recover because they're not keeping 6-8 guys together. There will only be 2-3 guys that have had more than a year or so of losing by the time they start trying.

Their tank this year is masterful. But they'll still need luck. Don't forget they're still tanking again next season so if you think it's getting old now just wait.

Philly and la and Brooklyn pick for Boston makes this lottery so interesting.

11-28-2015, 01:25 AM
How is the tank actually going to work?

I don't get it, they keep drafting young guys who don't change the franchise, and the culture of loosing just seeps in deeper and deeper. There are NO vets to teach them how to play in the NBA, how to win, preparation etc. so all they're doing is building BAD, LOOSING habits.

By the time the guys they draft that are any sort of impact players finish their rookie contracts, they aren't going to re-sign anyway, because the team will still be utter crap. They need to come with a new game plan.

Trust the process. They are tanking until they find Lebron 2.0.
