I'd guess that the whites in NYC commit the same amount of crime as the whites do in general in America. My guess is that the non-whites (mostly the blacks) in NYC commit such a ridiculous amount of crime that total crime is severely inflated and the normal amount of white crime is a smaller percentage of total crime.

I'm also pretty sure the violent crime rate in NYC is comparable and maybe less than national average. I think that their is a much higher frequency of arrests in NYC compared to the rest of the country.

Crime in NYC has plummeted in just 15 or so years:

City of 8 million people (probably closer to 15 million with commuters, illegals, tourists, etc) and only about 300-400 murders annually. Robbery and Burglary cut in half, vehicle theft occurring at 1/5th the rate of 2000.

But I guess we just have some really high quality Whites compared to the rest of the country.

Don's point isn't about race, it's about population. Crime is human nature. The majority race will always most likely commit the most crimes... Simple logic. Nothing to do with race. Everything to do with population. However, when a race that makes up 10% of a country, commits nearly as many crimes as the 70% majority race... That is a race issue. Why is this 10% committing so many crimes? Is it a poverty issue? Is it an attitude and culture issue?
