They would break their own record for the most losses in an NBA season (9-73; 1972-73). Difference is that the modern-day 76ers team is tanking, while the 1972-73 team was likely genuinely that bad; and considering how the number-one pick has eluded them ever since this tanking experiment was operationalized, they might look to out-tank themselves even more en route to that record.

It's why I hope all the conspiricists are right in predicting that the number-one pick will be rigged for the Lakers instead; the 76ers deserve that snubbish slap in the face. I can somewhat-emphasize for teams pulling the plug midway through the season after they're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but not for a team that intentionally loses games from the outset without even trying to develop a winning culture.

It's likely they finish around there considering their two best players have the worst on-court chemistry imaginable and Tony Wroten is still injured.

I'd love to see this happen.

Philly with the 6-7 wins and getting the 3rd or 4th OR 3rd AND 4th pick of the lottery, missing out on Simmons

The lakers will be gifted Simmons. Predictable league.

I would rather them go 0-76 and the league just cancels the rest of the season for them.

I wonder if they'll be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs before the all star break.

Nah. People said that in that Wiggins draft and he went to Cleveland of all places.

People say this every year and it almost never happens. The 1st pick will probably go to a team like Sacramento or Milwaukee.

Wouldn't it be great if they could go 17-76? Murica!

Lakers and Celtics have had zero #1 picks since the inception of the draft lottery.

Of course they have been great for most of that time. Well the Lakers, anyway.

I need the Sixers to go 0-82 and end up with the 4th pick.
