no because they have 1 title contender while the west has 3

Nope. Any team in the West will get owned by a healthy Warriors team. Let's be realistic.

nah. okc and san antonio could potentially overtake the warriors depending on the circumstances. while the east literally only has one team.

playing in the east is absolutely grueling. its extremely difficult just to get a win. The west has is so easy but yet only 6 teams are over .500

so far....yes

my guess would be that things even out a bit moving forward

and it will still likely be harder to get out of the west because there doesn't seem to be an East team on the level of the Spurs

There are five possible teams that could reach and win the chip this yr. Three are in the west.

East is deeper and more talented as a whole, west still is stacked up top

Those teams have the same chance of beating the Warriors as the Bulls/Heat have of beating the Cavs

I know it's still early in the season but I think it's funny since the Cavs' four losses have come against East teams but right on LITERALLY ONLY ONE CONTENDER IN THE EAST. :lol

The East finally got some talent... but the major reason why the disparity right now:

LAC/Houston

If those two teams had played like they should have... the West wouldn't look as bad as it looks now.

Give it a couple of months and it will right itself. The West will have better records, more contenders, etc etc.

You realize that's the same thing that happened to the East right? Bulls and Pacers were supposed to be contenders yet everyone trashed the East

What?

It matters if they actually turn it around. You can't count the Clippers and Rockets as contenders right now....and if they don't play better...then you can't count them at any point this season.

The East has been a dumpster fire for years based on the actual quality of the teams throughout the seasons.

Pre-season rankings don't mean anything...

Pelicans as well.

Don't see the Pelicans making much of a comeback tbh.

They have injures obviously, but AD just didn't take the step I expected him to take defensively.

He's only 22, so he'll be there eventually. But I don't see him carrying the team to the playoffs.

A week ago I didn't see it either, but they've played really well the last few games.

They are only 3 games back from 8th place right now.

They're also only 2 games ahead from being last place lol.

Only time will tell though, I hope they make it to the playoffs.

they haven't faced any true western contenders, but they have faced the winless sixers twice :facepalm
