Scott said that under no circumstances would he sit the 37-year-old Bryant, who is shooting a career-worst 31.1 percent from the field and 19.5 percent from 3-point range.

"I would never, never, never do that," Scott said after practice at the Lakers' facility. "That's not an option whatsoever. No, that's not an option. We'll just roll with the punches."

Bryant is averaging more field goal attempts per game (a team-high 16.4) than points (15.2). His field-goal percentage ranks 122nd out of 122 qualified players, and his 3-point percentage ranks last out of 105 qualified players.

Scott doing a swell job holding everyone accountable. At least Byron is ****ing hilarious at how bad he is. It would suck if he was just your typical boring bad coach, but he manages to get some good lulz out of these short Kobe briefs

Why doesn't he bring back Magic, Kareem and Worthy while he's at it? They can hardly be worse. :lol

It would have been a lot easier if Byron just said:

"Kobe does what he wants. It's already been made clear to me that I have no say in any basketball decisions pertaining to him."

I love you Byron. Never change.

Maybe, just maybe, what he's doing is making it so Kobe would read such a quote and go like, "Byron is really sticking out for me, maybe I should do him the favor and relax a little, take better shots, play less minutes." Being psychological with Kobe.
