How would the Bulls fare on 2-pointers in today's game?

They would do much better than the 2015 Grizzlies, who only shot 45% on two-pointers last year... The 1996 Bulls shot 51% on two's - this would be their FLOOR, since the Spurs shoot 51% and the Bulls have superior 2-point scorers than the Spurs.


How would the 1996 Bulls fare on 3-pointers in today's game?

The Bulls shot 16 threes per game in 1996, which is the same as the 2015 Grizzlies - obviously, the Bulls would focus on 3-point shooting much more in today's game than they did in 1996, so they could manage the same 16 threes today, even from the further distance.


How would the Bulls fare defensively?

Remember - none of the Bulls championships teams had a rim-protecting shot-blocker, so the team didn't benefit from the league's legal paint-camping provision as much as other teams.

Instead, the Bulls defense was great because of their PERIMETER defense - they had the two greatest perimeter defenders of all time - accordingly, the team's defense would be enhanced greatly by today's allowable zones outside the paint... This is very intuitive and common sense.


CONCLUSION: The Bulls would be far better on both sides of the ball than the Spurs or Grizzlies.

The Bulls won 6 rings without a legit big man - they dominated with small-ball in a league that wasn't set up for small ball... Naturally, in today's game that IS set up for small-ball, the Bulls would dominate even more than they did in 1996.

Curry only had to score 21% of his teams points to win the 2015 MVP and championship, which is far less than MJ's 29-31% for all 6 of his rings.. So Curry was "carried" by his team more than MJ.

Also, the clip below shows rookie Pippen being shoved around - it shows how much development Scottie needed - MJ grew Scottie from a scrawny, weak-minded 7 ppg rookie, into a man:
