Real talk, in Rambo III Sly helps the Mujahideen fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan. The same Mujahideen that the United States government poured billions of dollars, weapons, and training into from '79-the early 90s during Operation Cyclone.

This was at the end of the original cut of the film:

Isn't it weird that there is no "Rambo 2"?

There's....

First Blood
Rambo 1 (First Blood 2)
Rambo 3

Where the hell is "Rambo 2" at?

Little known fact- There actually was a #2 where Rambo helps a young, charismatic rebel leader named Saddam Hussein save his abused ethnic minority Sunnis from the tyranny of the Shi'a majority oppressors. It was a feel good story about overcoming underdog odds and fighting against Freedom's enemies using massive hunting knives, machine guns, and missiles.

It was pulled from theaters and VHS vendors for unknown reasons before release.

Yep. I watched it recently (very randomly) and was pretty shocked. The whole theme of the movie is aiding a rag tag group of rebels in Afghanistan fend off the mighty USSR machine.

Rambo = ISIS :(

I don't believe any of you. Rambo wouldn't do that.

Rambo helped created The Taliban and Al Qaeda... and by extension ISIS.

I saw a slightly longer piece on this fellow on a French channel. He said he'd march on Israel or Saudi Arabia tomorrow if Ayatollah Khamenei told him to. Nothing new, just another religious thug like all the others.

This is cool as long as they are fighting IS and a huge problem once IS is defeated.

This is why Assad and the Kurds should be supported and groups like the "FSA-Al Qaida-Islamic Front" or the Shia militias should not. Once the dust is settled we can trust that Assad and the Kurds aren't going to go on religious terror sprees against vulnerable citizens, which is exactly what those other groups will do once they seize control.

This dude is a bad ass. I read a story about him killing dudes with a ****ing axe mid battle. Don't care if it's true, cool story about a badass fighter. Like most badass fighters, not a good guy.

Too much common sense for that bro.
