No doubt Curry has a huge hand in their great start, but this team is so confident and deep with great chemistry. Makes you wonder how many games they could have won if Curry had been out all season.
Or if they could make the playoffs without him.

In this current western conference they easily make the playoffs without Curry.

They could win some games. But not as dominant as with Chef on the team.

They'd still be number 1 in the West so far in the season.

Don't get too excited. We've had plenty of close games with Curry posting insane offensive efficiency numbers. This team had to go to OT to beat the Nets... at home... with Curry scoring 34 points.
That said, with a solid PG replacing Curry, I think this squad would definitely still compete for a playoff spot.

Sounds about right. LOL, they would have a better record than the Clippers and Rockets.

That you could remove the MVP from a team (who's having a Jordan-esque season) and they would probably still have a better record than those two talented teams.

So they play really good basketball??
And steph is the difference that takes the best team to an unbeatable team??
Is that what your getting at??

Not really. I was actually throwing shade on the Clippers and Rockets for starting off poorly.

No, that the difference between the Warriors and Clippers/Rockets should only be Steph (given his play this season) and not the rest of the team.

They'd have a shitty record, something like 2-6

no you weren't, you've been on a Curry thread making binge lately, clearly shook that the GOAT warrior is no longer Wilt
This team is literally unbeatable at this point, and you think making a thread about taking away the guy averaging 32/5/6 on insane efficiency is going to prove some kind of point? This team goes as far as Curry will take them, they are mediocre offensively without all of the defensive attention he attracts, he gets doubled off ball which opens up wide open shots for everybody..

Take Jordan off the Bulls and they were still an AMAZING team.
still strong contenders without him. might even take 1 or 2 games from lebron but that's it.

Why??
Why does the difference between the teams have to be steph??
Why cant it be a combination of the team and steph. Its a team sport right?

Nobody believes that though.

Meh. I think a healthy Cavs team would have a shot. Even against this version of the Warriors.

they went 0-2 last year without Curry
(the 2nd game was without Iggy and Klay too though)

That's not how it works though...if they were 10-8, and Curry was not on the team, the Clippers would have probably won the two games they played earlier putting them at a 10-6 record

The meal would still be pleasant, but it would be missing that special Curry sauce.

They would finish with a 27-55 record.

I'd say they'd be on the verge of the 8th seed, but come just a little bit short of it.

probably 18-0
team is unbelievably stacked
all curry does is shoot 3s so just give them to thompson. no big deal.
if you put a PG that can actually defend then wow - the best defensive team ever tbh.
