i know that he is coming off an injury, but he already played 24min a game during the last 5 games. right now i cant see his impact. watching the last mavs games, i could state that parsons points resulted mostly by fast break layups or from one or two drives to the basket.
where is the shooting machine? the step back deadly midrange shooter? i fear that parsons wont have the impact of a 16mio/year guy and we wasted the fvcking money for some1 who even has a player option for next year.
Last year was a waste. this year looks like a waste. next year he has a player option. 46 million dollars. and there are people who were criticizin houston for th harden contract. lol

He's not a great offensive player but he's an absolutely elite defensive player which is what he needs to focus on this postseason.

Harden is only getting paid $15M, and yet that's a bad contract for the best SG in the league and a MVP caliber player...

Alight...

This site is so dumb, you idiots try the hardest to bring down the Rockets and end up saying the dumbest shit possible.

Houston's run-and-gun offense was perfect for him. He could shoot and run, shoot and run, rinse and repeat. And playing next to Harden? Even average defenders look amazing

Parsons leading the Mavs this season to a surprisingly good start.

His mere presence uplifts the team.

Parsons is one of those players whose value changes drastically depending on what you expect from him.

A second round pick you're not expecting anything out of, and suddenly he's in the rotation and seems competent and is producing a little bit? You're thrilled and you feel like it automatically means that with more minutes and practice he's gonna get even BETTER and be a huge difference maker.

But then when you expect him to actually be a real difference maker you realize "Okay, well, he's a nice solid player but he doesn't change the complexity of games."

He played very well last season. He was the best Mavs player after the all-star break but he got injured before the playoffs. This season he's coming back from an injury and he's on a minutes restriction.

So what do you want to hear? Injuries happen. He was worth the money when he was healthy. Many Mavs writers don't even expect him to take the player option, if he gets back to last years level of play.

Hello, do you have his stats after the AS-break until his injury? I watched nearly every mavs game last season, and i remember that he had some really nice games, but that he never was consistent enough meriting 16mio a year. Especially if you watch the year as a whole and not only the period after AS-break

regarding player option you have a point. But thats connected with the fact, that there is no team in the NBA who would give parsons 16 mio contract

.

Nah, he was beasting before the Rondo trade, he got more and more ballhandling responsibilities, after the Rondo trade he was struggling and always injured.

He had a week with 3-4 games with over 20 points games and looked like a stud in December.
