Do white/western people really tend to smell like milk to others around the globe?

So it was made aware to me the other day that people in China think white/western people smell like Milk. A quick google search and it appears to be a widespread phenomena.

Anyone know if this true? Anyone ever been told they smell like milk or noticed a white person smelling like milk? :lol

The Chinese think whiteys smell of dogs, I think that's literally what they say in Chinese "dog-smell".

Saying white people smell like milk/cheese is more of a Japanese thing, not Chinese.


White people BO and East-Asian BO just smells quite different, that's where it comes from. It's not really a cleanliness thing or anything like that, the sweat actually has some different chemical properties and the body smell is different.

I imagine if it's a thing it may have to do with milk/dairy not being common for adults in china. I believe they are one of the countries that has a large portion of it's population lactose intolerant. for most countries drinking milk once you age is an anomaly.

Maybe spoiled milk. The line of work that I do involves smelling a lot of bad bodily functions (EMS/Hospital). There is a spoiled milk smell that is really gross, but that's from someone that hasn't bathed in days. Sometimes this isn't the persons fault if nurses/caregivers aren't doing their job and cleaning patients. I don't want to get into details but I've seen some gross stuff.
The way a person smells also has to do largely on diet. There was a study that shows that East Asians have less body odor than whites and others.
My wife is Asian, she has no body hair..doesn't have to shave. She never stinks, yes she bathes and cleans herself but even when she perspires she doesn't stink.

Yep. In fact women of different races actually have different types of vag1nal microbes as well. And it's not just bc they live in certain regions, even born outside of their "racial homeland" they still have different kind of natural bacterias in their cooch.
