That's still better than a dude who won't even be shooting 30% by the All-Star break

Guess who.

Since 2010 was part of the GREAT CENTER draught (which may end soon with Anthony Davis, Okafor, and Towns becoming stars), a 10 ppg 1.6 bpg center is better than Kobe making it in this year over a lot of deserving guards.

oh the horror

Yeah. No. Shut the f*ck up son. You look ridiculous.

Kobe Bryant should be making the all star team. He's a legend whether you fools want to admit that or not. The same as Jordan making it during his wizard stints the fans want to see him play. They'll vote him in. You folks need to sit down with your BS.

Wizards MJ was 10 times the player Kobe is now. Don't insult Jordan by putting this train wreck of a player in the same sentence.

Treat as a career award selection if this makes you feel better. Kobe worked very hard to get to the level of respects he got now where people will vote for him regardless of how he's playing.

:biggums:

Wizards MJ and this year's Kobe aren't even comparable son.

It's not like the MLB situation this year where the game actually matters and subpar players were getting chosen by their fans.

Voting due to popularity has been a problem for years and won't change unless NBA does something about it.

It will be like the sequel to his MVP award.

If Kobe is voted in he should relinquish his spot for a deserving player and the NBA should let him be an honorary all-star. I have no issue with him being an all-star since the game is for the fans. I just hope it isn't at the expense of a deserving player.

People like to downplay being an all-star, but only a small percentage of NBA players ever make an all-star team. Being an all-star is still a great honor. Occasionally there are undeserving starters, but more often than not the players voted in would be selected as reserves anyway. In the case of a legend like Kobe, the league should make accommodations by adding a roster spot so a deserving player isn't snubbed.

Yeah, imagine Harden or Klay missing the game because Kobe fanboys vote a 30%fg shooter in.

Who cares, all-star games is a joke now anyways. So it is actually fitting.
