Yes or no? Yes for me. I feel the rise of social media has hurt the society in many ways.

Social media has definitely dumbed down society, turning people into humanoids. But thats on the agenda, they are easier to manipulate now.

We've definitely become more reactionary while our culture has dumbed down in taste.

Snapchat can stay

People need to just stay off social media when around family and friends. To me you look like an awkward ass bitch who cant communicate effectively with other humans

Yes because I would not have to worry about my family being linked to me at all times especially my mother on FB

Yes it would. We interact two times less than before facebook. Having moved when I was 14 to NL I always went to Romania to visit my friends for the winter and the summer.

We used to talk on the phone from time to time , but, it was so exciting after 4 months seeing them all, my heart would pound like crazy in anticipation, I would look forward to the stories of what they have been up to in all the time I was gone and we would interact and party like never before.

Now, since facebook and skype and other social media, I talk so much to my friends that I basically know anything they are up to. When I get to Romania, while still happy ti be there, I am not as excited anymore as I used to because I know everytime someone had taken a shit. The only thing that separates me from them is 2000km because, otherwise, I would feel like I have been there the whole time. Its disturbing.

I miss social interaction face to face. Facebook has made us miss eachother less. Now we interact so damn much on our phones and computers. **** that shit.
