I'm watching this right now and am really starting to actually like Kobe as a person. It's really starting to hit me though that he's retiring and I can't believe it, sucks really. Top ten all-time

That was a cool interview. Knew he was going to say vs. Boston when they asked him which championship was most important.

cool interview, nice to see him mention Iverson as the toughest competitor he's faced alongside his airness

Yeah, that championship was so epic though, first finals I ever watched all the way through. All the emotion with it being a rematch, LA vs Boston, the history, Kobe and Paul Pierce, it was easily one of the greatest moments in NBA history. No wonder it was Kobe's favorite

Anyone have a link to the vid?

Stephen A. Smith interviewed him after the Philly game and Kobe looked like he was such at peace, he really doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, he is satisfied with the way his career turned out.

damn I forgot that Kobe had a broken finger on his shooting hand and was wearing a cast during the 2010 finals

That game 7 was intense, I remember during half time the Lakers were struggling big time and me and my friend were starting to doubt if the Lakers were going to pull it off, but in that 4th quarter we made that nice run to win the game. I still remember Gasol crying after the game, you could tell how much that Finals meant to the players.

Yeah that game was too epic, the Celtics just wouldn't go away. Even more my bro is a huge Lakers fan while I was rooting for the Celts, fantastic game though. By the time it was done I was very satisfied with what I had seen. And as for your link question, I'm looking for one, but to no avail so far.

Lol @ EJ's neato stat of the night
EJ: How many 40 point games do you think you had in your career?
Kobe: I don't know, like 30 or 35
EJ: You had 121 Kobe
Kobe: Oh wow, well I didn't go to college so....

I freaking hate when smart people try and act stupid. Kobe is a guy who speaks what 3-4 languages...there is zero possible way he couldn't have had that stat within 10 games.

Thanks.

A few interesting things. First these guys are freaking masters of this. If I didn't know better (and i don't), this whole thing was scripted before they went on the air. Both guys just seemed to know the questions and the answers and the whole thing flowed just too well.

I gotta love the respect to tony allen who is imo the best on ball defender in the history of the game. All due respect to Pippen who was better in transition but on ball....nobody was better than allen.

That said I always am annoyed that Kobe never points out he only talks about guards when he's asked about people he competed against. There is no way possible KG for example isn't as intense as AI and MJ, but and rightfully so Kobe never went head to head against him. I just wish Kobe would point out his perspective before he gives his answers as people then take these quotes grossly out of context.

It's easy to solely judge the guy based on what we watch on the court. Kobe always seems to come off pretty damn humble and chill in interviews, tho. Obviously not perfect, he's definitely well versed on handling pr and shit like this.

Too bad. I think he would be great on TV. 75% sure he filled in once on TNT during the playoffs, was it? And he was very good.
