I think he deserves it.. he's done a great deal for this league and is the greatest ASG performer of All-Time. Even if he doesn't get the fans approval ala MJ in 2003, someone should step aside just like Carter did. He's done too much for this league and his influence is too great not to be celebrated in the ASG.

The person the fans vote in deserves to start. The whole point is fans vote who they want to see. Who cares if they aren't as good as someone else?

That always bothered me when AI was getting voted in in his later years.

So you weren't OK with Vince giving his spot for MJ? Just want to see if you're being consistent here..

Kobe making the All Star game would be a disgrace to the sport. All Star selections officially lose all value when the worst player in the NBA is selected to the team. :facepalm
He already has a bunch of undeserved all defense selections. Is that not enough for Kobe stans?

What do you mean "OK with?" Personally I didn't care whether he did or not, but it was pretty retarded that he was pressure to do so.

But the point is it doesn't matter who I personally think deserves it. Voters vote. Someone wins. End of story. Doesn't matter how little the average voter knows about basketball and the players.

No way he deserves it. The Jordan comparison is just dumb. Jordan is probably the greatest that has ever played, while Kobe doesn't even have a case for that, while a case can be made that he is not even top 10 all time. Meanwhile, current Kobe is worse than that Jordan.

If you're gonna give Kobe a spot for lifetime achievement, you gotta give KG, Dirk & Duncan votes too.

Kobe isn't being "given" anything. His fans are voting for him. Those guys have fans too...

He'll try to impact the game, he may actually play some D for the first time since that ASG where he blocked LeBron a few years ago.

Or he might go full retard and gun for the mvp :lol
Inb4 2-28 performance

Interesting, Wade has significantly more votes than other guards, but I think maybe Lowry and Butler deserve to start over him though. Kobe doesn't surprise me though, people are idiots

Dirk is actually still an All-Star level player too.
