Plays so beautifully  It's an ES-339, like a slightly smaller version of a 335

:applause: yup, no bigsby though. Although his is a 355, which is slightly different. I'm honestly not sure what the difference is though. Maybe pick ups?

Bigsby's look cool, but they're quite a pain in the ass though. I'm not really much of a whammy bar dude anyway :confusedshrug:

They are not the same guitars.

Anyone can buy a guitar. Can you play it?

At first glance they look a lot alike. Didn't notice the whammy bar.

Well, a shop around here is paying me to do some demo videos of their guitars for their website, and this guitar is part of that payment... so yes, I'd say so.

It's a $2300 guitar retail, but I'm not actually paying for it. I just have to do some demo videos for a shop around here, and I get to keep it

Is that one of the memphis ones? Was thinking of getting one of those at one point how is it? My worry was that being a smaller body and semi hollow it wouldn't sound enough like a hollow body to distance it from an lp. Couldn't find one in store around here to try out.

bigsbys can be a pain especially with floating bridges (the 339 doesnt have on though). My gretsch the bigsby can move the bridge if used a lot so needs to be readjusted and goes out of tune/intonation from it. Need to get around to double sided taping it in place.

Yeah it is a Memphis one. It still sounds very similar to a 335. It's definitely much louder unplugged than a solid body, as expected, so you do get the semi-hollow sound. When you play it with some distortion, it could sound along the lines of a Les Paul depending on amp settings. It's a really versatile guitar. Thicker strings will help it produce that more acoustic/semi hollow sound too. I normally play with 12s on most of my guitars, but 11s on my Tele.
