If you're talking Athletes overall, I'm pretty sure there are dozens of athletes outside of Rafa with much bigger and more impressive legacies than Gasol, tbh.

I don't want to argue with you about that, It is not the purpose of the thread. But take in account Spain was under a terrible dictatorship during 40 years and we were terrible at sports until recently due the lack of infrastructure, good managers, coachs, money, etc.

His impact is underrated by casual fans. He truly played the game the correct way and although his impact may be slightly less than that of a Duncan or Dirk, to me he still belongs in that category of "best bigs of this era" when you take into accounts his intangibles
