Wtf 25? Aren't they 21-0? Are the 4 games from last season or some shit? Because that shouldn't count.

Yep.

Still very impressive. I daresay that the Warriors circumstance for achieving this win steak is the most difficult one - to start the season coming off a championship. It gets no harder than that. After the all star break and such, players are injured etc. Everyone should be their freshest at the beginning and the Warriors are still rolling.

If they get past Indiana, Boston will wreck them

LOL Somebody got to do it eventually.

But LOL at everybody looking past Brooklyn. They actually came closest to beating us than anybody and we play them today.

It should count. It's basically the same roster sans David Lee. The record is Most consecutive games won not most consecutive games won in one season.

The warriors didn't win 4 straight vs the cavs so are you looking at last year's regular season to get the 4 wins? Very confused...

Who came up with the idea to use last season in the streak count? I don't think it should be counted.

Can anyone put together a coherent reasoning on why regular season wins from last year should not be counted? I would love to hear it.

Probably ESPN so that we can hear Jeff van Gundy rant about how the 4 regular season from last year shouldn't be combined :D

Forget it. They are happy to make up stats to prop up Lebron but show them a real record and they are making excuses.

Because they lost games inbetween the end of last season and the start of this season, it's that simple. A winning streak is consecutive games won, if you lost games between the 4th win and 5th win, it's not a ****ing winning streak. It's not consecutive.

21 wins in a row is still impressive af, why you so thirsty to add 4 games from last reg season as if it makes a difference?

Well if that's the way it's been done I have no problem with it. Since my team is the Warriors I had no previous interest in streaks. No need to be insulting though. Everybody can't be as smart as you.:oldlol:

It's the same in other sports as well...

I agree it loses its luster a bit, but this really isn't some new thing.

They had a few playoff loses, and suggesting that they've won all these games in a row is deceptive as hell.

People are categorizing this streak for only regular season wins. OP should have included that because he confused everyone in this thread.

Hopefully the Warriors go 34-0 so people can shut up about this. Can't stand people devaluing greatness with dumb ideals.

Basketball reference is listing 2 categories. Most consecutive wins, which is listing last season wins in the total, and most single season consecutive wins which doesn't.

There is regular season, and post season, they are entirely different and never counted with each other in terms of statistics.

Most regular season wins in a row. That is the record that they are going for.

I don't know what is so hard to grasp about this. People need to stop melting down.

Listen asshole, I like the Warriors and I'm rooting for them to beat Miami's record. I just think counting last season is retarded and deceptive as hell.

And people need to stop using "melt down" every time someone disagrees with them.

Only the Heat win streak of 28 is much better. You know why? Because the Heat actually won 28 games straight.:applause:

Counting last year's wins is same as ignoring Lebron's 8-point showing in the finals in 2011 when discussing his so-called double-digit-scoring-streak.

Sure, they won 27 straight regular season games. But did they win 27 straight?

Miami Heat did.
