Guy is currently playing for peanuts.

He barely got a max contract last time when they were scarred by his recurring ankle injuries.

What kind of money will he get next time?

The max they can give him. What's that, like $30m?

His endorsement money will be so high, his contract won't be an issue. The new face of the NBA is a light skinned handsome guy with a good family and manners. Marketing Gold Jerry.

What ever he asks for

He could ask for a percentage of the tolls to cross the bay bridge and dude will get it

He is signed for this year and next year. Then he is an UFA. The cap is expected to be 108M that year and he is eligible for 30% of the cap. So he would get

32.4M yr 1 with 7.5% raises (assuming he re-signs with GSW)

32.4
34.83
37.44
40.25
43.27

5/188.

He COULD get a little cute and do a 3 yr deal with a PO on the 3rd year so he could get a little more (10+ yr vets can get 35% of the cap rather than 30%) in yrs 3, 4, 5.

It should be noted that there is an opt out of the CBA for both the owners and players in 2017 so this could all change drastically.

Its pretty hard to read responses in threads like this. There should be a better handle on the business understanding of the game IMO.
