I would honestly draft Russell over Okafor in a re-draft. Russell is looking really solid in recent weeks and Okafor is looking more and more like the worst of his draft comparisons.

Did Parker even start the second half?
Popovich probably trying to help out Brett Brown as much as he could, but ends up making them look worse than ever.

Would be hilarious if Colangelo was in attendance. Road team benches its starters and still beats you by 51. Hope he got a lot of money.

They lost ever quarter. It didn't matter how deep in the bench the Spurs went, they were outplaying anything the Sixers could throw at them. This doesn't ever happen in the NBA.
We are witnessing something really special here. This is historic stuff.

What can actually legitimately be done about it though? I mean it's a BADDDD look but they aren't doing anything that violates any rules.

I agree with what you're saying and I think that's exactly why it's a problem for Silver.
It's clearly an integrity issue, yet they aren't violating any rules. If there was something Silver could do, it wouldn't be such a problem. But it definitely sucks for the league.
Also a clear cut example showing that winning/losing team culture is not just an abstract concept... it's very real. This plan will not work because by the time the have amassed the talent, all the fruit will have rotted on the vine. It's a disgrace.
oh the horror

IMO you should only get so many shots at the lottery in the NBA before you're thrown to the back of the line. It disgusts me that the Sixers could get a crack at Ben Simmons
Don't get me wrong. I know there are philly fans here and I empathize but their upper management has shown NOTHING to indicate they'll even try to somewhat put a cohesive product on the floor. Even their drafting has been suspect.
oh the horror

Bingo. That hole that they're digging for themselves becomes harder and harder to climb out of at some point and applies needless pressure to rookies and anyone else expected to turn the franchise around.

If they don't get Simmons, they're pretty much a lock to suck like this for 2, 3+ more years. There's such an overwhelming culture of losing they've built that no worthwhile vet free agents are going to want to come there, it's pretty much a generational prospect or bust for them. Only a next-level prospect like a Durant, a Davis, a Lebron can pull them out of this shit and next year's draft being a one-man deal, if they strike out again it's going to look really, really bad.

I added more to the OP. This game was so bad that it's a problem for the NBA.
I would honestly draft Russell over Okafor in a re-draft. Russell is looking really solid in recent weeks and Okafor is looking more and more like the worst of his draft comparisons.
Why's that? Okafor is coming off a 2 game suspension and punished by coming off the bench and was battling a upper respatory infection, he's lucky to have played last night. People bashing his game becaue he beat up a couple fans. His numbers are just as good if not better than any other rookie, of course hes not going to win games hes on the sixers none of the rookies wouldve made this team any better than it is today. This guy Milbuck hating on anything the sixers do its funny how 1 or 2 posters can make you hate a team and anyone part of it. Everything your saying about okafor is what you were saying about MCW.... the trade happened and BAM all of a sudden you started praising mcw. I'd rather be a sixer fan than a buck fan. Both are lottery teams but bucks took a huge step back from last year, giving all that money to Middleton and Monroe still struggling to become .500 in the east :facepalm enjoy the lottery you will only be a few picks behind us.

You know what's hilarious about the Bucks taking a step back? Even then, we have literally 9 times as many wins as the Sixers. We have won more games in the past week than you have in the past 9 months. Us ending up in the lottery will be in the process of building a winning culture. You guys are going to be in the lottery because you deliberately put together one of the worst teams of all time and are the laughingstock of the league. Don't compare your dogshit excuse for a pro basketball team to an actual NBA team trying to compete.
And in your 3 years now of sucking historical ass, you have acquired:
1) a center that in all likelihood never stays healthy, let alone becomes anything worthwhile. Bust #1.
2) another center that is completely useless offensively and is only a top defender when playing center, which he can't do consistently because of...
3) your THIRD center, who as stated earlier sucks balls defensively and plays a style offensively that the league is rapidly moving away from.
Congratulations on putting together a core of 3 prospects that all play the same position and are either hurt or hopelessly one-dimensional. You guys are totally gonna light up the league in 10 years.

What's funny is all three of those center have value in the nba and without a doubt one or 2 will be moved and yes even Embiid has some value buts let's wait n see when he will play. He didn't even play a game yet and they were offered the 12th pick for him. But please continue to talk about how mcw Middleton greek freek parker and Monroe will lead you to the promise land. That's wayyyyy better and more expensive roster than philly and what do you have to show for it? First round exit last year and not even a playoff birth this year. I don't care if you have 30 wins more than philly we both still headed for the lottery. So where exactly is your winning culture coming from? Monroe? OJ? Bayless? Middleton? MCW? Parker? Winning 20-35 games isn't a winning culture. I see how you guys built upon that "winning culture" from last year to this year.

Unless your team is a contender I don't see how you can bash Philly FO. They are in a better position financially and have a truck full of assets. That's a lot more than I can say about the border line playoff teams and lottery teams that are out of cap room and out of assets to make a move. But you guys are right philly should've done what Brooklyn has been doing. Instead of rebuilding they traded everything that wasn't glues down for past their prime players,( who have been bought out traded or unmovable). Now they are bottom of the leauge with no draft picks or wiggle room.
Philly tried doing it the "right" way for over a decade (webber, brand, bynum) it didnt work out now let's see where this path will lead us. We can go 0-82 and lose the lottery but guess what, ima still be here supporting them because that's what real fans do.atleast I'm not fake I don't jump ship because my favorite player is retired or because the Warriors are undefeated.

I'd rather draft 10 "broken" centers than give that much money to role players

I can't prove that, but he could have overpaid CoJo (for which I advocated over the summer). The defense wouldn't have been so porous and they wouldn't force guys who can't run an offense to try to be a floor general.
It's like this was his "revenge" roster to force Silver to give him the #1 pick if they finish last. I know the ping pong balls bounce one way or another but this was basically doubling down on tanking fresh off Silver trying to push lotto reform.
Also, the whole "process" stuff hinges on hitting on a superstar in the draft or trading for one. I think Hinkie wishes he was in a position to get a Wiggins or Towns but the way he's been operating is he keeps the team as a bottom feeder until it hits on one pick. Then, while they hand the reigns to this budding star for a year, they'd still be bad enough to have another high pick to get another cornerstone.
If they land Simmons, the attitude towards the team will change imo. Heck, if they got Wiggins then I doubt people would be this fed up with them.

As a Warriors fan, your team is shit and the Bucks are much better. Bright future with talented young pieces and an improving Kidd at coach. Giannis could be Kristaps lite in a couple years (pretty crazy).
I'll put it this way, you definitely have no ground to stand on to take shots at a Bucks fan. The Lakers are the only team a Sixer fan can clown on :lol
