Klay Thompson RPM
Offensive RPM 2.09 (36th in the league)
Defensive RPM -1.33 (313th in the league)
Total RPM 0.72 (97th in the league)
Splash bro to Trash bro. He used to be a decent 3&D Role Player but he isn't even that anymore. He is just a decent spot up shooter at this point. Thank god for AMC picking up the slack big time :applause:

Curry factor. Taking 2nd round picks and molding them into great players just how Jordan did with Pippen.

He was never a good defender to begin with. The rest of the team is full of good defenders though.
OP knows what he is talking about. Now just needs to understand that Bron>Kobe, and he is set.

He's been dealing with a bad back all season. He's starting to round into form though.

Agreed, Klay has always been so overrated on the defensive end. He's a good player but really not an all-star at all.

This.
In terms of what I saw last season he was a pretty good on-ball defender and has the ability to defend point guards, he has nice agility, great footwork, and is pretty long. The one thing he needs improvement in is his off-ball defense.

Klay was overrated on defense until Harden took his soul in the WCF. He's still very good though, not far off elite.

His BBIQ needs improvement, especially when he gets the rebound or an outlet pass. He is too slow to make his decision what to do and then is slow with taking it up the court. Klay absolutely kills fast breaks. I could count the number of fast breaks started by Klay this season on one hand. If you watch all the other Warriors they are quick at either taking the ball up court hard or making a quick pass up court when they get it deep. Klay doesn't do this and kills the tempo.

Well, the Warriors have the luxury of having Curry, Green, & Iggy. All three of those guys are good ball handlers that can push the ball up the floor and make great passes to others.
Klay isn't that type of player, he isn't known for his ball-handling and passing, but he is also the deadliest scorer on the team not named Curry and he has a nice post game, especially if he has a smaller guy on him. When Klay is feeling it he is one of the best scoring 2 guards in the league and provides nice D. You shouldn't complain too much.

Using that logic Curry's increased role in the offense this season has ruined Klay Thompson.

I have no idea how a white spot up shooter got hyped into being a good defender..

Been saying this for ages and anyone who actually watches the Warriors would know.
How Curry and Green become much better players than Klay and Barnes despite not as talented really shows the importance of BBIQ.

Honestly a trade of klay for Seth curry would benefit the Warriors because of the chemistry between the Curry bros.

Klay is so frustrating. He's been scoring better early in the games. However he checks out mentally when he doesn't get a call on a blown layup.
