When he was drafted people were saying he could be the hidden gem of the draft.

He could be a solid contributor to a great team.

NO -- his ceiling is much higher.

This kid could be the next superstar 2 and the best Suns draft pick of all time. He is only 12 years old. The Suns will find a way to lose him, but watch out NBA. Devin Booker is going to be great.

I was looking at his stats earlier... dude is shooting 52.2% and 68.4% from 3 on 1.1 of them a game :biggums:
A rookie SG, shooting that well :biggums:

The criticism of this observation is that the sample size is really small.

But what is insane about DBook is that he was also shooting this way in summer league, after the first couple games where he was adjusting and finding his sea legs.

Again small sample size, but given his age and the way he's been playing, it wouldn't surprise me to see this dude eclipse 50% 3-pt shooting in a season. Which, btw has been done before, but not by a player who controls the ball. And he's going to be doing that.

He's going to absolutely shatter the nba record for best 3pt% in a rookie season if he keeps this up.

PS but what really impresses me is his court awareness, athleticism (not spectacular but rock solid), and defense. All decent/solid, far better in these areas than projected in the draft. He's not going to do it through sheer athleticism, but I'm convinced he has superstar potential. Sky is the limit.
