IF he continues to play like this, the Thunder are contenders.

When Westbrook shoots a lot, especially early in possessions, it kills chemistry and allows for easy run outs.

Durant should be taking 10 more shots a game, at least, than Westbrook if they are to win a title.

Even Kobe shot 50% yesterday. Nothing's really that surprising.

He was phenomenal tonight. He led the charge when OKC went on a little run to extend their lead out to 12 by halftime. He and Ibaka were killing the Grizzlies with the two man game/pick-n-roll and Westbrook in general was just dropping times with an array of passes to different teammates.

He won't lead the league in assists, not with that stat padding team killer in Sactown.

This is the way he should play. Dude was breaking down the defense with ease, then kicking it out to a wide open guy on the perimeter or cutting to the basket. When he plays like this the whole Thunder team are moving off the ball. When he is in selfish chuck mode everyone just stands there because they don't expect him to give it up. The Thunder can't win it all playing two man ball.

and they destroyed memphis. They are much better if he plays the point. The team is much better with durant attempting the most shots. But just like the last few games, he would revert back to the same insecure fakkit that he is.

Yeah, not sure why people are all surprised that when a fast point guard like Westbrook starts passing the ball then good things happen. That's the job of a point guard.

Dion Waiters is gonna make sure he makes the thunder lose in the post season. No team will ever win a championship with a player that dumb.

if durant keeps his shooting on that level....this dude is shooting high % from everywhere and he is NOT a spot up shooter, he creates his own shot. just incredible.

in fact westbrook should just penetrate and then passing out to durant or making the layup.

#WCF

im looking forward to epic battles in the playoffs between GSW, OKC and spurs

most impressive thing I've seen about KD this year has been his defense. Seems like every year he's in the league it just keeps getting better and better. Watching him do work on Randolph and Gasol..

Why doesn't OKC start KD/Ibaka at the 4/5 with Morrow next to Westbrook and Roberson?

Westbrook/Ibaka pick and roll with Durant/Morrow on the wings just makes too much sense to not happen. They could seriously threaten the Warriors doing shit like that. I remember in the 2012 finals watching OKC throw away the championship cause they refused to go small, 3 years later they still convinced that playing big is the way to go, maybe they learned from this grizzlies game

One of the main reasons for not having KD at PF is they don't want him exerting an incredible amount of energy fighting guys in the post. It's true, his D has been awesome, and he can probably handle it for a while, but it would definitely effect his offensive game over the full length of a game.

They could just do what the Warriors do and start big, then play small at key moments to speed up the tempo. Versatility is the key here. Just the mere fact that they CAN go small and play at a high level is a huge weapon in and of itself.

I can't think of a worse star pairing in terms of offenses and how they'd coexist. Redundant skillsets, horrendous spacing.

They'd be good on the break though... that is, if LeBron doesn't strangle WB for dominating the ball.

Yeah they were switching up between small and big yesterday. Donovan did a good job at countering the changes the Grizzlies were making.
