Some players get a ton of criticism for not leading their respective teams to winning seasons and others do not. For whatever reason, Cousins has always fallen in the latter category. Maybe it is the fact that he plays for a franchise that people expect to be non-contenders every year or maybe it is the aesthetically pleasing style of his offensive game. I don't know, but Cousins remains pretty much Teflon when it comes to getting blame and criticism from the national media and even hardcore NBA fans.

Until I see it happen, I will always wonder if he can be a first or second option on a title contending team. His game seems more conducive, to me, to being a statistical bear on bad teams. Who knows if we will ever find out otherwise.
