The difference between the normal shooting percentage of a shooter throughout the season and the shooting percentage when the defensive player is guarding him.
TLDR: Negative is better.

1- Steph Curry (32PPG):
DFGA: 10 (-0.6%)
2- James Harden (28.5PPG):
DFGA: 14 (+4.7%) :facepalm
3- Paul George (28PPG):
DFGA: 13 (-6.4%)
4- Kevin Durant (28PPG):
DFGA: 11 (-2.3%)
5- LeBron James (26.5PPG):
DFGA: 8 (-11%)

I'm honestly suprised at Lebron, I assume it's because he gets away with fouling.

He's played good defense this year, if you watched the games you would know this.

26 ppg in finals with 5 turnovers is hardly God level.

A very interesting stat, I've been doing some regression analysis if anyone of you would like to see it. It shows on average "bad defenders" tend to allow a higher frequency of 3 point shots, which seems to make sense.

Ill do a top 5 at each position in a little while.

Good work, but I think those with less than 10 DFGA per game, don't carry as much impact on defense, also there should be a distinction for those who play against second units.

The whole OKC team have been pretty lacklustre defensively, Russ tends to get a little frustrated on the defensive end of the floor, I'm sure he'll pick it up when the games count for a little more.

I don't get it, during Olympics Westbrook is a pitbull defensively, and pretty good in the playoffs. But in the regular season he switches on EVERY screen and gambles non stop, 0 effort.

An interesting stat but in the world of zones and motion offenses I somewhat wonder what this actually means. For example would we penalize a guy who's got a higher percentage against but disproportionately has low attempts on him, the "Dwight effect" if you will from years past. How to separate that from being "hidden" for a guard becomes difficult however.

I feel like we'd need more stats or data points in a regression model to determine good defenders than this provides.
