It was probably in good fun and it was most likely just a joke. Laker players are clearly pretty annoyed with Kobe, Russell included tho. Could see some people finding it bad that a rookie is doing that. Old school thinking I guess that doesn't really apply nowadays.

I'm no Kobe fan and I know Kobe is embarrassing in his last season. But you have to show some respect. Maybe I'm old school in which you pay respect to your elders especially great players.
