Randle is good. He should get more shots than that hot garbage Kobe throws in the general area of the basket.

You realize Randle is a 2nd year player. He played a game last season. Had he not logged in a single minute last year than yes he would be a rookie this year.

sure, he may not be a rookie by the definition, but hes basically as much as a rookie as blake griffin was his "rookie" year. unless youre some sort of schmuck and consider playing 13 minutes in a whole season is enough to qualify him as a second year player

I dont think its fair to call a player who played less than 20 minutes last year a legit 2nd year player.

You can call him a rookie if you like, but by the NBA he's a 2nd year player. You play even a second of a regular season game and that's your rookie year. Greg Oden didn't play in what was suppose to be his rookie year...so he was a rookie the following year same case with Blake Griffin.

no ones calling him or thinking of him as a rookie. OP was basically saying that he has as much NBA experience as a rookie. but guys like him (and blake) do have a leg up, seeing as they get to experience a whole NBA season from the sidelines, as well as working with coaches and watching endless amounts of video. really opens up their understanding of the game.

That's all well and good...but there's a problem: Randle, Russell, and Clarkson are HORRENDOUS DEFENSIVE PLAYERS. Not bad, but terrible, awful, horrible etc. They are so bad that the best improvement you can see them making is becoming an 'below average defender'. You can't build around a core that inept defensively unless you have a prime Ben Wallace or David Robinson anchoring. Those three guys cannot stay major pieces on this team if the Lakers want to go anywhere. (so keep them all I say)
