They're both 6'10, but How is Ibaka able to block Blake, while being an entire head lower than him?

Whats the Physics behind this?

If they're both 6'10, and the same height, how come Ibaka can barely jump, be an entire head beneath Blake Griffin, and still block him?

Doesnt make sense, breaks the laws of Physics :biggums:

Look at the length of both players' arms.

After years of research I've finally realized why Blake has to dance around like a ballerina in the post, instead of going straight up

The dude has to flop around like a fish out of water just to get a clean shot, he never goes straight up for a shot.

His arms are so f**** short that if he's not careful and doesnt get enough space, the defender will accidentally block the shot with his head

look at arm length and the fact blakes hand is higher on the ball than ibakas

Many reasons.

Blake's arm isn't fully straight up like Ibaka's. Camera angle but Blake's arm is cocked a bit to the side.

Combine that with Blake's hand still being higher than Ibaka's and Ibaka's head leaning back it looks like he's way lower than he actually is.

Blake must have been trying another one of his patented throw in dunks. Against ibaka, he needs to just hold on to it for the dunk.

I'm liking where this is going. Can we get more images depicting both players lengths in comparison with each other?

Wingspan is far far FAR more important in basketball than height. Generally it correlates with height so we use that as a proxy, but wingspan is the measurement that will tell you the most about basketball potential.
