If you are really into the history of blues culture, there is an excellent documentary called Piano Players Rarely Ever Play Together, that documents the life and times of three New Orleans blues legends; professor longhair, Allen toussaint, and Tuts Washington. It's an excellent watch.

Also a quick shout to Henry Butler, who is one of the greatest musicians of our time but is relatively obscure in the mainstream music world.
Also Dr John specifically for boogie woogie
And just realized, no love for BB King yet? Holy moly
How did that happen?

I just saw Elvis Costello speak on the day Allen Toussaint died and he gave a nice tribute talk about working with him.
In terms of boogie piano, Van Morrison put out a great album with Jerry Lee Lewis's sister a few years ago

I always liked Toussaints "yes we can can." Kind of deviates from traditional blues but great song with a positive message
