View Full Version : Picture the league in 4 years?

That's 4 years, not a decade -- but 4 years. You know how there's small ball now? Yeah, that's all going to change if these teams continues to draft these versatile big men. KAT & Anthony Davis will be running the show & Porzingis will be getting the Dirk treatment. Okafor *fill in the blank*. With Lebron & Melo declining, CP3 on a possible suicide watch. I'm kidding. :lol A possible improvement from Griffin's game. Can't say nothing for Drummond yet, I rarely watch them play.

I think the league found a balance now & it's for the good. Melo & Lebron at 4 just got old for me & I loved the traditional schemes (though I have a soft spot for stretch 4's who can back down like Sheed, what a unique skillset to have).

Time to go back to your original positions, folks. :lol

Well... Imagine how much further we'd be to a big man league again, if Embiid stepped into that hype.

Embiid/Towns/Porzingis/Drummond/Cousins/Davis/Okafor/Labiessiere(spelling?)

Nice bunch of players tbh.

What makes you think that Curry won't still be the best player in the league.. it's not like his shooting ability is going to disappear at 30 years of age..

Honestly if the Warriors keep playing like this and Curry keeps going off we'll be having the discussion about who is the GOAT between Curry and Jordan

Hmm 76ers will be the new power of the league. We'll see a mix of big teams and small teams. I think we'll have a lot of contrast ball. I think the talent pool might slip a bit as we'll have a lot of greats retired by then.

Either way it'll be fun but who knows what rules change between now and then.

I'm really stoked for this next era of basketball.

We're going from a time of hero ball and pure athleticism to team ball and pure skill.

The Timberwolves will probably be elite around that time

I never said that he wasn't going to be, but who knows? The only thing is that these four beasts are standing there waiting in line -- hungry & waiting to take over. I love Curry, he's entertaining to watch & if he stays consistent over the years then maybe he'll be in the same conversation as MJ, in terms of stats he's sort of already there -- I just don't think he's there yet in the other aspects in comparison. Greatest PG, maybe? Idk...

In 4 years, if I'm wrong, I'll come back & eat my words, but man oh man, we missed an era of what could have been dominated by bigs, just imagine the league flooded with these type of players.

Kobe has come back and takes the Lakers to the lottery, 9-73. On 7/0/1 on 13% FG

Lebron now plays for Spurs, and they also have KD.

Whoever gets Ben Simmons is gonna change their trajectory completely. If Lakers don't get him then in 4 years they're gonna be where Milwaukee is now.
