It is beautiful to see the amazing chemistry forming between these two future great NBA players.

D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle are starting to look like John Stockton and Karl Malone reborn.

This is truly the beginning of a great era in NBA and Lakers history.

Stockton/Malone would've definitely won rings had they played on the Lakers instead of Mormontown.

So what you're saying is that things are fixed fo LA, and every player that has ever played there is overrated?

Cool

The Wizards are going absolutely nowhere, John Wall is a low efficiency scorer who barely averages 8 assist per game

Russell is garbage right now. Going to be trash in a season or two and be mediocre in his prime.

As a Jazz fan, I actually have to agree. The Jazz had Stockton and Malone with Jerry Sloan for 20 years. They should have done better than a mere 2 finals appearances and no rings.

Utah's ownership was never willing to fork over the money to build a true powerhouse. With the three cornerstones they had, they should have been trying to build a dynasty, not trying to make minor tweaks every year trying to be good enough to win one ring. Ownership/management got lazy and cheap trying to ride their horses.

The Lakers would not have allowed guys like Felton Spencer, Greg Foster, Adam Keefe, Chris Morris, etc etc to be rotation guys on that caliber of team. They would not have allowed a one-kneed Jeff Hornacek to be the 3rd best player on the team and have to guard Jordan for long stretches in the finals (even though Jeff is probably my favorite player all time). They would have added significant pieces with the aim of winning multiple rings, not just trying to squeak their way into one.

As a franchise, all the Jazz ever try to do is be good enough/interesting enough to get butts in seats and eyes on the TV. True contention is too expensive. The lucked out in that two all-time talents, both of whom just so happen to shun big city life and publicity, just happened to fall in their laps. Unless that happens again, or the team is sold to a more spendy owner, I don't know that the Jazz will ever truly contend again.

What you talking bout foo'?

The Jazz has Gordon Hayward, the true Great White Hope, and they have 3 hard hitting old school bigs in Booker, Favors, Gobert.

All they need is to upgrade on their guard spots. Just adding a vet shooting guard would be great, Afflalo would have made a big difference.

Jazz are not far away from making a good playoff push, all their players are young and seem like they got their head on right, it was great hearing Favors talk about the system last night, shows they buy into it.

I still think Hayward should get more plays, particularly in the 4th, but I guess that's the system they run.

On a crappy team like the lakers they may get minutes, pad stats, have some highlights, and keep on losing. They can't defend. They are not going to be #1 or #2 options on any decent team unless you have defenders and decent players to surround them with. Who is going to build their team around either of these guys...no one.

I'm not sure who should be insulted more, Stockton or Malone.
