View Full Version : Current Kobe better than at least the last two years of Duncan...

But Duncan doesn't have to put a tremendous amount of pressure on his body by carrying a team.

Kobe tonight 23, 7, and 6 on 50+% and 0 turnovers.

If Kobe was in Duncan's position, he'd be playing for titles until he was 42.

Make a thread when Kobe goes for 28/11 on 60% shooting in the playoffs, at the age of 39.

Duncan with 4 points tonight on 6 shots...up 21 on the Hawks.

Duncan is top 5 all time.

But Kobe is locked in at #2.

Duncan just had a 19/11/3 on 56% Playoff series, against a DPOY contender.

But you keep talking about your Regular Season games, stalker.

As if Kobe couldn't have huge games in the playoffs with Pop and that roster.

'That roster' had Parker who shot 36%. Manu who shot 36%. Green who shot 30%. Kawhi who was 13-44 in the last three games. How great.

Also, majority of Duncan's points were on post-ups which aren't roster or coach-dependent.

At the end of the day, Kobe's last meaningful NBA game was at 33 years old and he's sucked since he turned 35. This isn't a debate, as the responses in this thread would suggest.

You're a pathological liar if you don't think Kobe would be vying for titles with the Spurs.

why is this dude TLP always trying to downplay the spurs roster outside of Duncan :wtf: :wtf:

Because they objectively sucked against the Clippers last year? Even Pop at the end of the series said Duncan didn't have enough help and Danny said he was disappointed that the team wasted a great Duncan year..

Has nothing to do with the talent or ceiling of the roster (we were a 'no excuse' team last season and we are one now). Just that they didn't play well in the postseason.

Or is none of this true?

Kobe's year is done since the lakers are not gonna make the playoffs
And he will ride off into the sunset.

Kobe could potentially ruin literally every Spurs lineup. Or at the very least put a huge ceiling on them. He's ****ing horrible.

Follow the thread, bro.

I said Duncan played great last Playoffs.

Stalker said it was because of his coach and team.

I posted the stats of the team in said time-frame (last Playoffs), which shows Duncan's great play obviously wasn't because of his teammates.

It has nothing to do with his overall help. I've made a number of threads praising guys like Joseph, Splitter, Manu, Danny etc. I've said Duncan's had amazing help for a long time now and that the team not winning a title would be a failure. Here's a few of them:

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364364
http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11946995&postcount=4

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showpost.php?p=11868877&postcount=22

So again, I'm not questioning that Duncan had (and has) great help. I'm saying that help didn't show up last postseason, and Duncan still managed to ball. Stalker was saying he balled because of how good his help is. :confusedshrug:

Kobe is dragging his team down. That isn't the same as carrying them.
