Now they can settle and focus on closing out the season strong and being focused come playoff time, if they kept winning the media would have made it all about the streak, watch the Warriors bounce back strong.

Also well done Milwaukee

I was listening to an ESPN podcast where they mentioned going after the streak could damage them. If they focus too much on the streak they'll play more minutes than they have to, players can get hurt and if so will probably play through the injuries.

Losing is a good thing, so now they can focus on the chip and not over exert themselves for a record.

Now of course, the Bulls' record is within their sights.

Part of me thinks yes it is a good thing, people can stop going on about them being undefeated and they can start a new streak.

Eh if it were later in the season maybe but honestly these guys want blood. They're going to try and win the rest of the season after this. They're just hell bent on winning at this point. I don't think this team has the maturity yet to understand teh process, they just want blood. They're so young it might just work though.

Nah. I think the coaching staff wanted this streak hoopla to end. Luke said they need to get back to fundamentals like defense, passing and limiting turnovers. He pretty much said what the OP said. This was his interview after the game.

I agree. Every game they played in the last few weeks the other team brought their best and made the Warriors make a great effort to win. Every team wanted to be the streak busters. Now they'll probably continue to win but other teams won't care so much and they'll have to spend less energy.
I think all those close games (Raptors, Pacers, Celtics) took a tool at them physically.
