View Full Version : What are the chances of the Warriors going 81-1?

The only reason they lost is because they were on the 7th game of the road trip.

No team has ever swept a 7 game road trip. (Look it up.)

After this bloodbath part of the schedule it looks like smooth sailing for them.

Zero. They never had a chance at anything more than maybe 74. Even that was crazy. 73 can still happen without injury, but they won't stay that healthy all year.

Zero. Theyll get normal rest days now.

Warriors are shook, they hit a few wee little injuries and BAM. Struggles. Everywhere.

Imagine losing Klay AND Green to injuries.

Reg season win/loss records are interesting and all, but what really matters is that at the end of this season:

Curry 2/2
Lebron 2/7

in terms of vegas odds how about u transfer $10 into my paypal at 1:100000 so if they go 81-0 you will get a payout of 1000000 with just an initial bet of 10. Plus you have proof from this thread.

Havlicek 8/8 > Jordan?

Going into damage control mode for bron again?:lol

How many of those 8 rings did Havlicek win as the man?
Why doesn't Havlicek have a 1976 FMVP? Jo Jo White says hi.

Jordan won all of his finals as the man and never lost when he was in the finals and he did it with only ONE all-star.

Stop making weak arguments to down play the fact that 2/7 is laughable and that 2/2 is just a means to becoming 3/3 and so on. :sleeping

That would be a tall task, to sweep a 7 game road trip. I don't see any point to your comment, though, as every team has one or two of these every season.

If they're anything like past great NBA teams they will rest their starters near the end of the season and lose a bunch of games.

Oh you mean the one that role player Iggy TOOK from Lebron? That one? :lol

That is exactly why Curry will be shy of Jordan because if he goes 6/6, he will only have 5 FMVP. How many of those 8 does Havlicek have as the man? How many other all stars / HOF players on those 8/8 wins?

6/6 in finals with 6 FMVP is the GOAT standard to which all should be measured.

2/6... 2/7.... not gonna cut it.

2/2 on your way to 3/3 and potentially 6/6 with 5 FMVP to back it up... that would be something to talk about.

Getting FMVP votes for Steph is as hard as MJ getting playoff wins without Pippen :lol

Hence 0/11 and 1-9

And yet this point gets slayed every time someone points out the fact once Jordan got ONE all-star and had a good enough supporting cast to get to the finals, that he ENSURED victory.

What did bron ever do other than show the world that he couldn't win more than 2 rings despite having more than one all-star? Show that he is 10x worse the player that Jordan ever was? :lol

Apparently bron did so little that he's now been taken over by Curry who is on pace to go 2/2 and take home a FMVP this season. Oh well. At least Bron almost made it into the top 10.

What do these signify? Hondo? Are you aware that the Finals MVP did not exist during the first Celtics dynasty?

Pip probably wouldn't have even been a great player without MJ mentoring him.

why hasn't he mentored another great player?

not even one halfway great player? as a GM? before pippen? after pippen? nothing?

Bran stans who feel ashamed of their life try to say that Jordan couldn't make it to the finals until he had Pippen. (as if that is some kind of knock:lol)

So when Jordan got just ONE all-star and was able to make it to the finals, he showed the world that HE DIDN'T KNOW HOW to lose once he was in the finals, and he showed the world that every single TIME he went to the finals, that he was the undisputed best player, hence the 6 FMVP to back it up.:sleeping

Bran stans are all sad now because the far lesser man that they repped is now just a 2nd after thought, in that Curry is now the face of the NBA and is off to a great start with a 1/1 finals record and a 24-1 season record.

Bran stans done fvcked up. They chose the wrong guy to rep when everyone on ISH told them not to. Now they are looking at a potential 2/7, and it's only going to get worse from there. :lol

And who the fvck other than MJ mentored a player such that as the 2nd best player on the team, they went undefeated in the finals for 6 times? That's quite a commitment to do that to just ONE other person.

stop giving jordan credit for everything. it's disgusting

Stop giving Pippen excess credit. You don't seem to know how the Bulls organization worked. Pippen was a raw athlete who came off the bench when he entered the league. He practiced against Jordan every day to hone his skills. The dude didn't even start a game until the 89 playoffs. He was not a great player dude. Jordan carried his team his whole career. If you don't know that, then you clearly didn't watch any of his career.

People act like Pippen was some undrafted scrub Jordan magically turned into a great player. Dude was the 5th pick in the draft, so he must have possessed some talent/ability. And Pippen was actually starting games in the playoffs his rookie year

He was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics and traded to the Bulls for Olden Polynice, who was a great college player who never really flourished in the pros.

It's a good point. But it's not just physical. Its also mental. When you get close to a record like that, it starts to be consuming and become almost like a championship in it of itself. I'm not going to dig through the quotes, but you have to feel kind of like some of the players and staff are actually glad the streak is over. Can kind of get back to winning but without the huff and puff
