The guy is finally starting to figure it out. He's playing more aggressive not deferring to others as much.

This is the D'Angelo the Lakers wanted to draft.

19.5ppg 2.8rpg 4.8apg 41%fg last 4 games. Could be shooting better.

But he's passing the eye test for me. Much more fluid and looking more and more comfortable out there with each game.

Byron was ripped for benching them but both young guys have looked MUCH better since the move. A little hunger and confidence playing vs. bench players at times never hurt anyone

Not sure about rookie of the year yet. But I think he'll be on the all rookie 1st team.

But he's put himself back in the running if he keeps this up.

I will say he's better than what people here are saying about him. While I lowered my ceiling for him, I think he will develop quicker than most had him and should make 1st team all rookie pretty easily. Its hard to become a top five PG these days but top seven isn't bad for the future. The Big men in this draft will be talked about in the league for the next dozen of years and that still will be the stinger but Russ is going to fun to watch and rarely do you get 20 year old PG's this heady and this ready to play.

Rookie of the year is going to be in Minny but NY has a chance for co-MVP.
